If you live in the East of England and are unable to leave home unaccompanied because of a physical or mental illness or disability, the NHS covers the full cost of a home eye test. Most patients aged 60+ with mobility difficulties, dementia or long-term conditions qualify, as do residents of care and nursing homes.
